I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 8 years of experience in the mental health field. I have a passion for helping adolescents and adults find their voice and sense of hope. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, social anxiety, and low self-esteem. I meet clients where they are in life and come alongside them in their journey. I utilize dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care (TIC). Life brings all types of challenges and everyone deserves a voice to tell their story. Your story is important and you deserve the space you occupy. I would love to hear your story and help you write the next chapters with the tools and skills you need to cope with life's challenges. If you are ready to do the work, schedule an appointment with me today.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session will be getting to know each other in a safe space and exploring their story and what led to them being in my office. My sessions are a safe and judgment free space and the more honest they are the easier the process will be. I am there to help them and vulnerability is not only a good thing but strongly encouraged.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Meeting each individual where they are and making them feel safe and comfortable. I have had many clients tell me they feel safe in their sessions pretty quickly.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work best with clients who are open and willing to do the work that therapy often requires. Overall it is helpful for both sides to work with someone who is willing and not willful. Willingness is about accepting what is and responding in an effective or appropriate way. The opposite of Willingness is Willfulness: trying to control the universe and deliberately or stubbornly doing something you know isn't working. Willfulness is about digging your heels in and refusing to accept reality. I am also excited to be able to take my experience with pregnancy loss and help guide other women through that very difficult journey.

CBT was the first therapy modality I learned and is used for a wide range of treatments.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

While I am not DBT certified I completed DBT training and use DBT almost daily in teaching clients skills to manage emotions.
