I’m Sheree, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and founder of Reclaim Life Therapy. With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, panic disorders, depression, OCD, and low self-esteem. I also support couples and families navigating high stress, disconnection, and conflict, helping them rebuild stronger, healthier relationships. As a former U.S. Army service member, I had the privilege of working in high-pressure, diverse environments. This experience shaped my understanding of resilience, strengthened my cultural sensitivity, and deepened my ability to support individuals from a wide range of backgrounds. At Reclaim Life Therapy, my approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I help clients gain clarity, understand the root of their challenges, and develop actionable strategies for change. Whether you are managing anxiety, working through family dynamics, or seeking to strengthen your relationships, I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where healing and growth can thrive. I grew up in Ypsilanti, Michigan—Go Blue! Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and five children. I love cooking, dancing, and making others laugh. During my time in the U.S. Army, I served as a Behavioral Health Specialist and worked in logistics. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida A&M University and Azusa Pacific University, and my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with honors from Touro University in Southern California. I am currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, with a focus on research that supports individuals, couples, and families in living healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation for our work together. We’ll start by discussing what brings you to therapy, any current challenges you’re facing, and what you hope to gain from the process. I’ll ask questions to better understand your background, relationships, and patterns, but you are always free to share at your own pace. This is a supportive, nonjudgmental space—there is no pressure to have everything figured out or to share more than you feel comfortable with. We’ll also talk about your goals for therapy and begin identifying areas we can focus on moving forward. If helpful, I may introduce a few initial strategies or tools you can start using right away. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer sense of how I work, what the therapy process will look like, and whether this feels like a good fit for you. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the next steps.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What sets my therapeutic approach apart is the balance of compassion, structure, and practicality I bring to each session. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model—every client’s experience is unique, so I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs, goals, and pace. I integrate evidence-based methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also focusing on helping you understand the deeper patterns that may be contributing to your current challenges. My work is both insight-oriented and action-driven, meaning we don’t just talk about what’s wrong—we actively develop tools and strategies you can use in your daily life. Clients often appreciate that our work feels both supportive and productive. I create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can feel safe being honest, while also gently challenging you to grow and move beyond patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My goal is for you to not only feel better, but to leave therapy with a stronger sense of self-awareness, practical coping skills, and the confidence to navigate future challenges more effectively.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is motivated for growth, even if they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about where to begin. They may be experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, or difficulty managing emotions, and are seeking support in understanding themselves more deeply. I work best with individuals who are open to self-reflection and willing to engage in the therapeutic process, even when it feels challenging. Many of my ideal clients struggle with patterns such as overthinking, emotional dysregulation, low self-esteem, or difficulties in relationships, and are looking for practical tools alongside emotional support. My ideal client values a collaborative approach, where we can work together to identify goals, build coping strategies, and create meaningful change. They may not have all the answers, but they are willing to show up, be curious, and take steps toward growth and healing. Ultimately, my ideal client is someone who is ready whether fully or just a little to invest in themselves and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a structured, evidence-based approach to help clients understand and change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior. In my practice, I use CBT to support clients in identifying the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to develop more adaptive coping strategies.
