Alexis Mobley
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in Missouri and Texas with over 14 years of experience working as therapist and coach. My doctorate degree is in Sport & Performance Psychology and my Master's is in counseling. I have a background in Human Resources, Journalism, Business, and Psychology; therefore, sometimes I do believe in taking a creative approach to therapy. I have worked with clients with a wide range of challenges including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and life transitions. My therapy style is direct, warm, and interactive. I believe that everyone can change, but we first must want to change before the transformation can take place. My approach is eclectic combining cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, and other therapy modalities as I see fit. I will tailor our discussions and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
First session
During our first session we will review your intake and discuss what goals you would like to work on, answer any questions you may have, and form a treatment plan that works for you and your needs. We will also use this time for me to get to know you a bit more.
Strengths
I've worked with all type of clients from severe and persistent illness to Fortune 500 company executives. I understand that we all have different needs and I do my best to design a plan that works for you to meet your goals. My top therapeutic modalities are CBT, Person-Centered, and Solution Focused therapy.
Ideal clients
I love working with youth and young adult populations struggling with anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I help individuals identify and replace negative thought patterns and behaviors through self-awareness, thought stoppage techniques, and exploration.
Solution-Focused Brief Treatment
I help individuals create change by focusing on their strengths, future goals, and exceptions to problems instead of focusing on past issues.
