Benjamin Wagner

PMHNP (he/him)2 years of experience

I’m Ben Wagner, a psychiatric nurse practitioner and owner of Wagner Psychiatry. I provide medication management for adults and teens ages 16 and older, with a focus on anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma-related concerns. My experience spans a variety of psychiatric settings, where I’ve worked with people navigating everything from everyday stress to more complex mental health challenges. I bring a warm and straightforward approach to care. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself, asking questions, and having an active voice in your treatment. Together, we’ll build a plan that fits your life and helps you move toward feeling better.

First session

Our first session is a chance to get to know each other and talk through what brought you in, what’s been difficult, and what you’d like to change. We’ll review your symptoms, health history, and any past treatment, including what has or hasn’t helped. You’ll have time to ask questions, and we’ll discuss medication options when appropriate. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, with a clearer understanding of your concerns and a plan for moving forward.

Strengths

I bring a calm, down-to-earth approach and make room for honest conversations without judgment. I’m thorough, explain the reasoning behind my recommendations, and welcome questions and feedback. My experience across a variety of psychiatric settings helps me see the bigger picture, including how stress, sleep, relationships, and physical health affect how you feel. We’ll work together to find a treatment plan that feels manageable and adjust it based on what’s actually helping you.

Ideal clients

I work well with people who are tired of feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or like they’re working harder than they should just to get through the day. They may be navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, or the effects of trauma and want a clearer understanding of what’s going on and what could help. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know where to start. A willingness to talk openly and work together is enough.

Treatment methods

Trauma-Informed Care

I use trauma-informed care by taking time to understand how past experiences may affect your symptoms, relationships, and comfort with treatment. You choose what you’re ready to share, and we can work at a pace that feels manageable. I explain my recommendations, welcome your questions, and involve you in decisions so you feel respected, supported, and in control of your care.
