Hello, my name is Valentina Vernet, and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I specialize in working with anxiety and feeling overwhelmed by life transitions. I provide therapy in English and Spanish. I believe in a compassionate, evidence-based approach tailored to your needs. My casual, person-centered style ensures you feel comfortable and supported. We will work together to increase your self-esteem, and break free from people-pleasing patterns
Clients often feel much better after just one session. Our first meeting will focus on building rapport and understanding your story. Sessions feel like a conversation with a friend, fostering a trust-based relationship where growth and progress happen naturally.
I believe my compassionate, evidence-based approach. My casual, person-centered style ensures you are in control of your journey. We’ll go at your pace, making therapy comfortable and supportive, with a focus on improving self-esteem and self-care.
I primarily work with women who are navigating life transitions and relationship challenges, and who may be feeling overwhelmed by stress or anxiety. Many of the women I work with are used to holding a lot together for others, but are ready to start showing up more fully for themselves. I support women in building genuine self-confidence, strengthening self-esteem and body image, and creating clear, healthy boundaries. My work is especially aligned with those who are ready for meaningful growth and want to step into a more grounded, confident, and authentic version of themselves.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT helps my clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It teaches them how to identify and challenge negative thought patterns, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and ultimately change their behavior.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
This is a therapeutic approach that views the human psyche as a system of parts, each with its own unique role and perspective. These parts can be protective, wounded, or wise. The goal of IFS therapy is to help individuals develop a stronger connection with their Self, the core of their being, and to heal and integrate their parts.

I turned to this therapist looking for emotional support, and from the very first session, I felt heard and at ease. Their approach is warm, empathetic, and professional. They helped me see my situation from a different perspective, and I left with a sense of relief and clarity. It was better than I imagined. Highly recommended.
