New to Grow
I love my work because of the joy I feel when you have an eye-opening awareness that changes some aspect of your life forever. Would you like to get to the root cause of your unrest without years of work? I provide tools and a pathway forward for positive change. Emotional intelligence is a skill that you, or you and your partner, can learn. My job is to identify your strengths and teach you how to clear your roadblocks.
In our first session, I'll take the lead in briefly gathering information about your family of origin; your current family and friends. (It's good to have a context for the love and support you already have.) I'll seek understanding of your goals for therapy and how you see the blocks to your success. If it's acceptable to you, I'll introduce at least one tool to begin your progress down the pathway forward.
My strengths include truly caring about the interesting people I'm allowed to counsel/teach/coach during my sessions. I am given the precious opportunity to pass on the most important information and skills I've learned in my lifetime.
I may be an optimal fit for you if: • You Value Practicality: You want tools you can use the moment you leave the office. You aren't just looking for an ear to listen; you’re looking for a pathway forward with steppingstones that make sense. • You Have a "Growth" Mindset: You are open to learning tools to get yourself unstuck. • You Are Goal-Oriented: —like following through on your plans, saving your marriage, or managing your stress—and you want a direct, Solution-Focused path to get there. • You Want Efficiency: Whether we are using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to move past a "stuck" memory or Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to find what’s already working, you appreciate a therapy style that respects your time and focuses on building momentum. I'm here as a team leader to assist the person who says, "I know what I should be doing, but I don’t know how to do it." I provide the "how."
