Hi, I’m Brittney, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy should feel like a safe space where you can be honest, understood, and truly yourself. I work with adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, emotionally drained, or simply ready for something to change. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, so I take the time to understand your experiences, strengths, challenges, and goals. Together, we can explore what may be getting in the way and develop practical tools to help you navigate life with greater confidence and self-awareness. Whether you’re working through anxiety, depression, relationship or family challenges, major life transitions, stress, or simply trying to better understand yourself, you don’t have to figure it all out alone. My goal is to create a space where you feel supported without judgment and empowered to make meaningful changes at your own pace. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and you’ve already taken one by being here. I’d be honored to support you along the way.

First session

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and for you to share what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’ve been experiencing, what you hope to get out of therapy, and what feels most important to you right now. You don’t need to have the right words or everything figured out beforehand—I’ll guide you through the process. By the end of our first session, my hope is that you feel heard, comfortable, and more clear about how therapy can support you. We’ll begin identifying goals together and discuss an approach that feels appropriate for you. Most importantly, you’ll have a space to be yourself without judgment.

Strengths

I bring warmth, empathy, and a genuine ability to listen without judgment. I’m intentional about creating a space where clients feel comfortable being honest and can feel truly heard and understood. I’m also collaborative and flexible in my approach, meeting each client where they are rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I strive to balance emotional support with practical tools, helping clients gain insight while also finding strategies they can use in their everyday lives. Most importantly, I want clients to feel that we are working together—not that I’m simply telling them what to do.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone who is ready to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their life, even if they aren’t quite sure where to start. They may be navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship or family challenges, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed or stuck. I especially enjoy working with clients who are open to exploring their thoughts, emotions, and patterns in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Whether your goal is to feel more confident, improve your relationships, develop healthier coping strategies, or simply feel more like yourself again, I’m here to meet you where you are and work alongside you toward your goals.

Treatment methods

Strength-Based

I use a strengths-based approach by helping clients recognize the strengths, resilience, and personal qualities they already have, even when they may have difficulty seeing them themselves. I believe clients are the experts in their own lives, so I work collaboratively with them to build on what is already working while identifying areas where they would like support. I want clients to leave our sessions feeling heard, understood, and more confident in their ability to navigate challenges and create meaningful change.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use a person-centered and humanistic approach by creating a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves without fear of judgment. I focus on building a genuine, trusting relationship and meeting each client where they are. I believe that feeling heard, respected, and understood is an important part of the therapeutic process. Together, we explore what is meaningful to the client, their goals, and the changes they would like to make, while allowing them to move through therapy at a pace that feels right for them.

Supportive

I use supportive therapy to provide clients with a safe, compassionate space where they can talk openly about what they are experiencing. I offer encouragement, validation, and practical support while helping clients work through difficult emotions and situations. My goal is for clients to feel less alone in what they are going through and to leave sessions with a greater sense of clarity, confidence, and support as they navigate life’s challenges.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify patterns that may be contributing to stress or making it harder to reach their goals, and work on developing healthier and more helpful ways of responding. I incorporate practical strategies and skills that clients can use both in and outside of sessions, while tailoring the approach to their individual needs and experiences.
