I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, in the state of Pennsylvania. I have been in the field for over fifteen years, and licensed for over ten years. In that time, I have accumulated clinical experience working with adolescents, emerging adults and adults. My training and experience are grounded in implementing Cognitive Therapy strategies, developing skills from the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy model, and conceptualizing from a Trauma Informed lens.
In our first session together, we will share introductions, I'll offer some information regarding my training and work experience, as well as what can be expected in a typical session. We'll also begin to develop treatment goals, and define what the 'finish line' looks like, so we can work intentionally in that direction throughout.
Having clinical experience in multiple settings over the past fifteen years, I have worked with many different populations. This has given me experience in shaping the treatment to meet the needs of each individual, while also ensuring that I stay in keeping with the foundation of the treatment model.
I enjoy working individually with anybody eager to make changes, who may be feeling stuck or overwhelmed, or who may be facing life changes and transitions. I'll work collaboratively to develop and implement plans for making meaningful changes in their day to day lives, in order to reach treatment goals.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an Evidence Based Treatment, shown to be effective with many different diagnoses, offering symptom relief in a short amount of time, and teaches tools for long lasting change.
