Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my undergraduate degree from Cornell University and my Masters of Social Work from the State University of New York at Buffalo. I have been working in the field for many years and have helped many individuals facing a variety of life challenges to make positive changes and lead their best life. I am looking forward to working with you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Life often presents us with challenges, but that doesn't mean you have to go through them alone. I hope to create a safe, nonjudgmental space to share the issues that have brought you to therapy. I plan to actively listen to your concerns, provide feedback and help you begin to explore some of the goals you want to work on to be the best version of yourself.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have a great deal of experience in helping individuals manage chronic illness, develop skills for managing depression and anxiety, as well as navigating the rollercoaster of grief and loss. I can assist you in developing healthy boundaries to promote self-care and develop positive coping mechanisms to improve your life. I can help you identify the values that are important to you in order to meet your personal goals.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I like to use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as a therapeutic approach. ACT techniques can be a highly effective way of coping with negative thoughts, emotions and experiences. ACT can help you focus on the present, develop a different relationship with your thoughts and emotions, and identify the personal values that you want to live by. ACT can help you take the important steps to make changes that align with your values and lead to positive change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I find Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to be helpful in challenging negative thoughts and reframing them in a more logical, positive way. CBT helps individuals develop positive coping mechanisms and focuses on finding solutions to current problems.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing or MI can help people identify the motivation to make positive changes in their behavior. I believe on focusing on people's strengths, skills and capabilities can help them to successfully implement positive change to live their best life.
