New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and everyday life stressors. Seeking support can feel intimidating, but it is often the first meaningful step toward change. My goal is to help clients strengthen their sense of self-determination and feel more empowered in their mental health journey. I am deeply passionate about this work because I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to feel empowered and develop compassion for themselves. I have seen individuals who once felt stuck or hopeless begin to recognize their own strength and create meaningful change in their lives. With the right support and commitment, growth is possible, and no one has to navigate that process alone.
In the initial sessions, I conduct a comprehensive psychosocial assessment to better understand each client’s background, current concerns, strengths, and personal goals. From there, we work together to create an individualized plan tailored to their unique needs and desired outcomes.
I take a straightforward and direct approach to therapy, grounded in the belief that growth requires honesty, clarity, and intentional effort. My aim is not only for clients to feel heard and supported, but also to leave sessions with practical tools and increased confidence in their ability to manage their mental health independently. I focus on building skills that extend beyond our time together, so clients feel prepared to navigate future challenges.
I enjoy working with clients who feel ready to engage in the therapeutic process and have a sense of what meaningful progress looks like for them. I strive to create an open, supportive space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, challenges, and goals without judgment. My role is to help guide that process so clients can experience real, tangible progress in the areas they most want to grow.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy helps clients build awareness of their thoughts and emotions without becoming overwhelmed by them. In sessions, clients learn to accept difficult experiences while committing to values-driven actions, even in challenging situations.
Attachment-based
Using attachment based approach is helpful when addressing clients relationship relationships within their lives as well as relationships with their nurtures. This information and processing can be helpful to understand how one may behave and respond in difficult relationships and create healthier ones.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive behavioral therapy is a commonly used type of therapy in which I provide to clients throughout the course of their time in treatment. This allows patients to understand how their thoughts affect their emotions and ways to work through this effectively.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
I have experience using exposure, response prevention therapy, while working with those who are managing uncomfortable fears, and anxiety regarding specific situations. This is a practice commonly used with patients who have obsessive, compulsive disorder, trauma, and anxiety.
Grief Therapy
Throughout my career, I have worked with grief and consider this a passion within my career. Grief is something that is very difficult to navigate but there is possibility for change and healing. When approaching therapy revolved around grief, I provide psychoeducation as well as open supportive communication to work through loss.
