When you face painful life circumstances and personal challenges, one of the bravest and wisest things you can do is to reach out for help. My passion is to provide a caring environment focused on helping you to grow and heal. I have a Bachelor of Science in Education with a Minor in Biblical Studies from Lee University and a Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Houston. Before opening New Hope I spent 11 years working as a school counselor and a contract LPC.

A large part of the draw of private practice for me is to be able to freely share the love of God and help the hurting find hope.

First session

Our first session will focus on getting to know each other and establishing your needs and goals so that you are able to get the most out of our time together.  You may only need a couple of counseling sessions to get you through a rough patch.  Other times therapy is needed for an extended period of time to work through issues that are causing distress.

Strengths

In the school system, I gained a unique awareness of the many issues that families face. I am able to help pre-teens, teens, and their families navigate the school years. I have considerable experience helping clients who are facing a wide range of struggles from anxiety and job stress to suicidal ideation and family crisis. I have worked with clients of all ages from many different backgrounds.

Ideal clients

I’m drawn to working with people who are navigating a difficult or uncertain season of life and need someone to walk alongside them. My ideal clients are those who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or simply in need of support, encouragement, and a safe space to process what they’re going through. I want to help people feel heard, understood, and equipped to take their next steps with greater clarity and confidence.
