New to Grow
I’m Dr. Jasmine Allen, LCSW-S, a veteran and clinician with over seven years of experience. I genuinely love the work I do and believe there is something powerful about having a space where you can feel understood, work through what’s weighing on you, and begin making changes that feel meaningful in your life. My passion for therapy ultimately led me to pursue and complete a PhD in Social Work, focused on advanced clinical practice and supervision, and continues to shape the care I bring to each person I work with. At Refined Mind Psychotherapy, I support individuals who want help overcoming anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and major life transitions, as well as those simply looking for greater self-awareness, personal growth, or a place to work through life as it unfolds. I also enjoy working with high-performing individuals and professionals, veterans and military families, parents, and couples navigating the demands of their roles, relationships, and responsibilities. My approach is warm, collaborative, and clinically grounded. You don’t have to be in crisis or have everything figured out before coming to therapy. Whether you’re healing, navigating change, strengthening your relationships, or simply ready to understand yourself more deeply, I want our work together to feel genuine, purposeful, and centered on helping you create meaningful change in your life.
Our first session is about understanding you—not rushing into a plan that may not fit. We’ll explore what brings you to therapy, your experiences, strengths, concerns, and what you hope will be different. You’ll leave with a clearer sense of our direction and what working together can look like.
I bring warmth, authenticity, and advanced clinical training to my sessions. My approach is collaborative and individualized—I don’t believe therapy should feel like a one-size-fits-all process or like you’re simply being analyzed from across the room. I combine evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, CBT, DBT, IFS, ACT, SOMATIC and trauma-informed interventions, with practical strategies and deeper exploration of the patterns beneath what you’re experiencing. Clients can expect a space where they can be themselves, feel appropriately challenged and supported, and leave with greater insight and tools they can actually use in their lives.
I work best with clients who are ready to better understand themselves, overcome challenges, and create meaningful change. You may be navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationships, parenting, stress, or a major life transition, or simply seeking greater clarity, self-awareness, confidence, and personal growth. You don’t need to be in crisis or have all the answers—just a willingness to show up, explore what’s beneath the surface, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want.
I take an integrative and individualized approach to therapy, drawing from CBT, DBT, EMDR, Problem-Solving Therapy (PST), ACT, somatic approaches, and psychodynamic therapy based on each client’s needs and goals. These approaches allow me to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, strengthen emotional regulation and coping skills, process traumatic or distressing experiences, develop practical solutions to current challenges, and better understand how past experiences may influence present-day emotions and relationships. I also incorporate mindfulness and body-based awareness when helpful, allowing us to address both the cognitive and emotional aspects of healing. Rather than using one approach for every client, I tailor our work to where you are, what you need, and what will best support meaningful and lasting change.
