LCSW (she/her)15 years of experience
New to Grow

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals through life transitions, anxiety, stress, relationships, parenting, workplace and career challenges, and other experiences that can leave us feeling overwhelmed or stuck. I have a special interest in working with young adults and women of color and understand the importance of having a therapeutic space where culture, identity, relationships, and lived experiences can be openly discussed.

First session

Your first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and for you to decide whether I feel like the right therapist for you. I know starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it is your first time, so there is no expectation that you share everything at once. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, what you would like support with, and what you hope will be different as a result of therapy. I will also ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, relationships, stressors, and current needs. Most importantly, I want you to leave the first session feeling heard and with a sense that we have a direction. Together, we will begin identifying your goals and what our work might look like moving forward. Therapy with me is collaborative, so your voice and your priorities will always be an important part of the process.

Strengths

I consider myself a relationship-based therapist, which means building a genuine and trusting connection with my clients is at the heart of my work. I want therapy to feel like a space where you can be honest, ask questions, laugh when appropriate, work through difficult emotions, and know that you do not have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. I also see myself as an accountability partner. I will listen and support you, but I will also help you explore patterns, recognize barriers, identify what may be keeping you stuck, and take realistic steps toward your goals. I believe in empowering my clients rather than telling them what they should do. My role is to help you strengthen your own voice, trust yourself, and make decisions that align with the life you want to create. You can also expect encouragement along the way. I will celebrate your progress, remind you of your strengths when you may have difficulty seeing them yourself, and cheer you on as you make changes -whether those changes feel big or small. My clinical approach is strengths-based and trauma-informed and may incorporate CBT, DBT skills, practical coping strategies, psychoeducation, and other interventions based on your individual needs. I also hold a Trauma Certification from Grand Canyon University, which supports my ability to approach clients and their experiences with an understanding of how trauma can influence emotions, relationships, behaviors, and the way we see ourselves. Ultimately, I want our sessions to be a combination of support, reflection, empowerment, accountability, and practical tools that you can take with you outside of the therapy room.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or unsure of how to move forward but is ready to begin exploring what they need and what they want for themselves. You do not have to come to therapy with everything figured out. I enjoy working with clients who are open to reflection, personal growth, and trying new ways of approaching challenges. I especially enjoy supporting young adults and women who are navigating life transitions, relationships, family or parenting concerns, workplace challenges, college and career decisions, identity, self-confidence, anxiety, stress, postpartum experiences, or the effects of past trauma. My ideal client wants a therapist who will listen without judgment while also providing encouragement, accountability, honest reflection, and practical tools to help them create meaningful change.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use a relationship-based approach because I believe a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is an important part of creating meaningful change. I work collaboratively with clients to create a space where they feel comfortable being honest, exploring difficult emotions, and showing up as their authentic selves. I provide support, encouragement, and accountability while also helping clients recognize patterns, build on their strengths, and develop greater confidence in themselves. My goal is for clients to feel that therapy is something we are actively working on together, rather than something being done to them.
