Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker- Certified serving the state of Maryland. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University in New York City, with a specialization in advanced clinical social work practice, and my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD. My goal is to serve children, youth and adults who are striving to become the best version of themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I typically start off slow, focusing on building rapport and creating a safe, comfortable space for you to share. We'll process intake information, discuss your basic history, and explore your goals for therapy. My goal is to get to know you better while setting the foundation for a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a therapist is creating a safe and welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable and understood. Patients often tell me they find it easy to open up to me and appreciate the clarity and compassion in my communication.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I bring years of experience with all ages: school-age children and youth, college age and adults. My clients often are starting therapy for the first time or have mild previous experience with therapy and strive to build new skills and self discovery, but don't have all of tools yet. I'm here to help those who struggle with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, behavioral problems or want to build on past skills.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In therapy, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, replacing them with healthier alternatives. By using tools like journaling and cognitive restructuring, I guide clients in reframing negative patterns and developing practical strategies to manage challenges effectively.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

In therapy, I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients balance acceptance and change while building skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. I guide clients to manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and navigate challenges with greater resilience and self-awareness.
