When not helping individuals adjust to the inherent stress that the transition of life bring; I enjoy cooking Asian and Indian inspired foods, golfing, hiking, swimming, or just watching some good-ole t.v.
In our first session together, we'll start with introductions and a little about our background, the reasons you sought therapy. This will help me understand your unique situation and therapy goals. You will also have an opportunity to ask me questions and get a sense of my therapeutic approach.
Some of my greatest strengths as a therapist are my curiosity, warmth, and experience helping individuals work through complex situations.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, including Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Behavioral Activation to help individuals develop the skills necessary to regulate maladaptive thought processes that contribute to difficult emotional states and unhealthy behavioral patterns.
