Hello, I am a double board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for people and mental health advocacy. I started my professional career in the pharmaceutical industry as a Research & Development Scientist. However, I was driven to make a broader impact in the lives of others and returned to school for my healthcare degrees. My passion for mental health and nursing led me to specialize in psychiatric mental health care. I enjoy working closely with individuals of diverse ages and backgrounds across the lifespan in various settings. I am committed to addressing mental health inequalities and promoting mental wellness for all. The first appointment is often referred to as a psychiatric assessment, initial, or intake evaluation. It is a comprehensive and structured assessment conducted to gather information about a person's mental health, and emotional well-being. This evaluation serves as the starting point for diagnosing mental health conditions. My holistic approach to treatment involves combining evidence-based psychopharmacology with a therapeutic process.
