(she/her)
Hi there! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Florida. I work with adults navigating the messy, overwhelming, and often confusing parts of life, whether that’s anxiety, relationship struggles, burnout, or big life transitions. I earned my Master’s and Education Specialist degrees from Florida State University, and over the years I have had the privilege of walking alongside people as they sort through challenges and discover new ways forward. My goal is to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and able to reconnect with yourself, whether that means feeling more grounded, more capable, or even discovering who you are for the very first time. For more information on my practice, please visit my website at AfterlightCounselingFL.com
In our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other. I will listen to your story, your challenges, and what you want to work toward. You will also learn about my approach. My goal is not to "fix" you, but to support you as you build the skills and confidence to live the life you want.
My greatest strength as a therapist is creating an open, understanding, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable and truly heard. I work with you to identify the root causes of your challenges and collaborate on an approach that is tailored to you and supports meaningful progress and growth
I work with adults who are facing challenging life transitions and searching for a sense of direction and connection. Whether you are feeling stuck after graduation, overwhelmed by a career change, or adjusting to shifts in your relationships, these moments can feel isolating and uncertain. My role is to walk alongside you, help you feel less alone, and provide practical tools and support as you navigate what comes next.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
For over five years, I’ve used tools from CBT to help people understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I also incorporate mindfulness practices such as meditation, relaxation techniques, and mindful breathing to support stress relief and strengthen the mind–body connection. Whether it’s gently challenging unhelpful thought patterns or encouraging small, meaningful changes in daily habits, I focus on making these strategies feel natural and tailored to each person. My goal is to help you feel more in control of your emotions and more confident as you navigate life’s ups and downs.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), a highly effective treatment for OCD, to help clients gradually face fears in a safe, supportive way. Instead of avoiding what feels overwhelming or engaging in compulsive behaviors, we work together to approach these experiences step by step while building skills to reduce anxiety over time. This process helps break the cycle that keeps OCD going, so you can feel more in control and less restricted in your daily life.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop a healthier relationship with their thoughts and emotions. Rather than trying to get rid of difficult feelings, we focus on learning how to respond to them with more flexibility and self-compassion, while taking meaningful steps toward the life you want to live.
