WELOME! So glad you are here. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in the state of California. I received my Master of Social Work from California State University Bakersfield in 2020 and have been practicing for over 3 years. I have dedicated over a decade to Community Mental Health and helping individuals with severe mental health disorders/illness obtain a better quality of life. My unique style, life experiences, and approach provide a genuine connection.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is called the assessment session. The first session will be focused primarily on a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment, including identifying pertinent and relevant information and diagnosis. This session will allow assessment of the whole person and overall picture of the client versus the details of the story as the first session would not represent an individual therapy session which will follow in future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Growing up in Los Angeles I witnessed firsthand the need for help, as I witnessed in my surroundings violence, poverty, substance use, and social injustice. I am passionate about helping others and have been fortunate in my previous jobs to serve the communities who need it the most, the underrepresented, diverse, and disadvantage populations. I started my career in the mental health field many years ago as a case manager and got to see and witness the change that can occur simply by listening and having genuine compassion. I truly enjoy working with those in need, putting the client first, demonstrating empathy, compassion and believing in the client and our work as a team.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have worked with individuals with a variety of mental health disorders at different levels of severity. My clients ideal or most common diagnoses are depression, anxiety and mood disorders along with other contributing factors or co-occuring disorders. Being in the mental health field for the past 10 years I have worked with diverse, underserved populations such as those living in rural areas, poverty, culturally sensitive, suicidality, trauma, and those suffering from emotional and verbal abuse among other contributors. My ideal clients are those who may experience mood symptoms, challenges with the relationship with “self”, including intimate, peer, and/or familial relationships.
