I am a licensed therapist passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and reconnect with their sense of self, purpose, and resilience. I specialize in EMDR and CBT, but I use a blend of evidence-based approache sto support healing in a collaborative and compassionate space. When I’m not providing therapy, I love spending time with my loved ones, going on long walks with my dog while listening to a great audiobook or true crime podcast, catching live music and concerts of all kinds, and getting out on the golf course whenever I can weather permitting.
In our first session, I will guide us in gathering a comprehensive history of you - taking the time to really understand your background and what prompted you to seek therapy. I will gain an idea of the struggles you are facing and together we can collaborate on a treatment plan to best fit your needs. I know therapy can be intimidating, so we can go at your speed and create a relaxed enviornment while we get to know eachother.
My biggest strengths are being non-judgemental and easy to talk to. I excel in creating a space where clients feel truly heard and understood. I am committed to staying informed and open-minded about the latest developments in mental health and therapy practices, I love to learn! And am always incoorperating new techniques and tools into sessions. I also have a good sense of humor and can appreciate when clients bring humor into their sessions despite going through a hard time.
I work with adults and teens. Every individual’s journey is unique. I tailor our sessions to fit your specific needs and goals, blending traditional methods with creative solutions to make therapy resonate with you.
EMDR is my specailty area. I think it is a great tool for clients that have not had success in traditional talk therapy. It's especially effective for treating trauma and PTSD, though it's also used for anxiety, phobias, depression, and other mental health conditions.
