New to Grow
I’m Lydia, a licensed clinical social worker who blends traditional therapy with holistic mind–body practices. My approach integrates EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and yoga-based techniques to support deep healing and self-discovery. I offer a compassionate, grounding space where clients can process trauma, reconnect with themselves, and move toward lives that feel more authentic, resilient, and whole
Your first session with me is an opportunity to feel seen and heard in a safe, supportive space. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, exploring what brings you to therapy, and identifying your goals. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—our pace is guided by your comfort. By the end of the session, you can expect clarity about the process, a sense of direction, and the reassurance that you are in a space built for understanding, growth, and healing
My greatest strength as a therapist is creating a compassionate, safe, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly seen and understood. I blend evidence-based therapies—like EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy—with mind–body practices, including yoga, breathwork, and somatic awareness, offering a holistic approach that addresses both emotional and physical well-being. What sets me apart is my ability to guide clients through complex trauma with warmth, patience, and clarity, helping them build resilience, reconnect with their inner wisdom, and move toward lives that feel authentic and empowered. Years of clinical experience, combined with my personal understanding of healing and transformation, allow me to meet clients where they are and support them in making meaningful, lasting change
I work best with people who are navigating the challenges of self-esteem, identity, and life transitions—whether that means relationships, career shifts, parenthood, or redefining themselves in new seasons of life. Many of my clients carry the weight of complex trauma, and come to therapy seeking healing, clarity, and a deeper connection to themselves. I especially support those who feel stuck in old patterns, long for greater self-acceptance, or want to cultivate resilience and confidence as they move forward in life
In my practice, I use EMDR to help clients process and release the lingering impact of traumatic or overwhelming experiences. By gently guiding them through bilateral stimulation, we access the brain’s natural healing process, allowing painful memories to become less distressing and more integrated. I combine EMDR with mindfulness and body awareness, creating a safe, supportive space where clients can reconnect with themselves and move toward greater resilience and healing
I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients connect with and better understand the different ‘parts’ of themselves. This approach allows us to meet inner experiences with compassion rather than judgment, so that even protective or wounded parts can begin to heal. IFS supports clients in accessing their core Self—calm, wise, and grounded—so they can lead their healing journey from a place of clarity and strength
In my practice, I take a holistic mind–body approach, integrating talk therapy with body-based practices like breathwork and yoga. This helps clients not only process their thoughts and emotions but also release what the body has been holding. By weaving in gentle movement, grounding postures, and mindful awareness, I support clients in building deeper self-connection, resilience, and a sense of safety within their own bodies
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps clients learn new ways to relate to difficult thoughts and emotions, rather than struggling against them. By focusing on mindfulness, values, and committed action, I guide clients toward greater psychological flexibility and the ability to live in alignment with what matters most to them. This approach supports healing, resilience, and a deeper sense of meaning in everyday life.
