Our first session is designed to feel relaxed, conversational, and pressure-free. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been carrying emotionally, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You are always in control of what you choose to share. By the end of our first session, we will have a clearer understanding of your immediate concerns, identified both short-term and long-term goals, and discussed what support looks like for you. I also like to make sure you leave knowing what to expect moving forward. My hope is that you walk away feeling seen, heard, and encouraged about the next steps in your healing journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a warm and grounded presence into each session. For clients who desire it, I can integrate faith, scripture, and spiritual reflection alongside clinical insight. As a Haitian American woman, I am deeply aware of cultural dynamics, family roles, and generational expectations, and I approach each client with cultural sensitivity and care. My work is strengths-focused and holistic. I aim to highlight your resilience, values, and abilities while also offering practical tools you can use in daily life. Clients often share that they feel calmer, more grounded, and more connected to themselves after our sessions. You don’t need to have everything figured out—you just need a safe place to begin.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults who are ready for change, even if they are unsure where to start. I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and faith-related concerns. I especially enjoy working with women exploring identity, self-worth, and career stress, as well as first- and second-generation individuals balancing cultural expectations. Many of my clients are people who have been strong for others for a long time and are now ready to prioritize themselves. If you’re looking for a therapist who sees you as a whole person—mind, body, culture, and spirit—I would be honored to support you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns and replace them with healthier, more empowering beliefs. CBT is practical, structured, and goal-oriented—ideal for managing anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. Clients leave each session with tools they can use immediately in real-world situations.

Christian Counseling

As an ordained Christian minister and licensed clinician, I offer counseling that integrates biblical principles with clinical wisdom. I support clients in strengthening their relationship with God, processing challenges through a spiritual lens, and finding healing rooted in faith, scripture, and prayer (if desired). This approach is gentle, non-judgmental, and tailored to your walk with Christ.

Strength-Based

I use a strengths-based approach that focuses on your abilities, resilience, and inner resources—not your deficits. Together, we identify what’s already working in your life and build on those strengths to create meaningful change. This modality empowers you to reclaim your confidence, make clear decisions, and move forward with hope. You are more capable than you realize, and therapy becomes a collaborative process that highlights the best in you.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I create a safe and affirming space for clients from diverse cultural, racial, and family backgrounds. As a Haitian American clinician, I understand the importance of identity, generational patterns, heritage, and lived experience. My framework acknowledges the impact of culture on mental health, communication, family expectations, immigration stories, and spiritual beliefs. You will be seen, heard, and understood without having to explain your culture.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based interventions help clients feel more grounded, centered, and present. Through breathing techniques, grounding exercises, and increased self-awareness, clients learn to manage stress, reduce anxiety, and reconnect with themselves. I help you build habits that strengthen emotional regulation, clarity, and peace in your daily life.
