About me

I’m a dual-certified family nurse practitioner and psychiatric‑mental health nurse practitioner who specializes in supporting women who are carrying a lot but rarely have a space to rest. My work centers whole‑person, culturally affirming care with a focus on emotional wellness, stress, anxiety, and the unique pressures faced by high‑achieving women. I create a calm, supportive environment where clients can slow down, feel seen, and build practical skills that help them move toward a softer, more aligned life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll slow things down and get to know what’s been weighing on you, what brought you to treatment, and what you’re hoping to feel or experience differently. I’ll ask thoughtful questions about your history, your current stressors, and the patterns you’ve noticed in your mood, relationships, or daily life. There’s no pressure to share everything at once; this is a gentle, collaborative conversation where you set the pace. We’ll also talk about what support looks like for you, clarify your goals, and begin identifying the tools or approaches that may help you move toward a more grounded, aligned version of yourself. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of direction and a therapist who understands your story, honors your lived experience, and is committed to walking with you through the work ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is creating a calm, culturally affirming space where high‑achieving women—especially Black women—can finally exhale. I blend clinical expertise with a warm, grounded presence that helps clients feel seen, understood, and supported without judgment. My approach is practical and collaborative: I help clients identify patterns, build emotional clarity, and develop tools they can use in real life, not just in session. I’m skilled at holding space for women who are used to being “the strong one,” helping them slow down, reconnect with themselves, and move toward a life that feels softer, more aligned, and sustainable. Clients often share that they feel lighter, more grounded, and more empowered after working with me.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is a high‑functioning woman who has been carrying a lot on her shoulders for a long time. She’s insightful, self-aware, and motivated for change, but she’s also tired—tired of being the strong one, tired of pushing through, tired of feeling like she has to hold everything together without a safe place to land. She may be navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship stress, or the emotional weight of constantly showing up for others. She’s open to therapy, even if she’s new to it, and she values a space where she can be honest, seen, and supported without judgment. She wants practical tools, emotional clarity, and a therapist who understands the cultural nuances of her lived experience. Her goals often include healing old patterns, improving emotional regulation, setting healthier boundaries, and creating a life that feels softer, more aligned, and more sustainable. I’m best positioned to serve clients who want a collaborative, whole-person approach—someone who blends clinical expertise with compassion, cultural humility, and real-world strategies they can use every day.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help patients identify the thought patterns that influence their emotions and behaviors. Together, we explore unhelpful beliefs, challenge cognitive distortions, and replace them with more balanced, realistic perspectives. I also incorporate behavioral activation and practical coping strategies so patients can build momentum between sessions. My approach is collaborative, culturally attuned, and focused on helping patients develop skills they can use long after therapy ends.
