LCSW, 10 years of experience
Hello, I’m Stephanie! If you’ve made it this far and it’s your first time pursuing therapy, congratulations! Deciding to begin therapy can be intimidating, but it can also be incredibly life changing. If this isn’t your first go-around, I commend you for continuing to invest in yourself and look forward to working with you in this next chapter of your journey.
Our first session together will be your intake. We will go over basic information from demographic information to psychiatric and medical, as well as family history. We'll wrap the session by discussing your goals for treatment and coming up with mutual ones.
I use a mix of CBT, EFT, DBT techniques, and Solution Focused Therapy. We'll target root causes to what's happening to help you understand yourself better, gain a better perspective, and move forward confidently.
My background specializes in suicide prevention and intervention, Anxiety Disorder, Depression, Schizophrenia, and PTSD. While I am open to working with most all disorders, I do not treat Eating Disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder, nor OCD.
Christ-centered counseling integrating biblical principles and spiritual truth, supporting clients in aligning their faith with emotional and relational healing.
Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we will work to identify and address maladaptive thought patterns, challenge and reframe cognitive distortions, and target underlying dysfunctional themes and core beliefs that contribute to distress.
I incorporate Psychodynamic Therapy to explore the influence of past experiences, unconscious processes, and relational patterns on present-day thoughts and behaviors. Together, we will get to the root of unresolved conflicts, fostering deeper self-awareness and developing healthier, more meaningful, and realistic ways of relating to self and others.
I incorporate Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients identify strengths, build on existing resources, and develop practical strategies for change. Together, we will get to the root of issues and work toward creating healthy, meaningful, and realistic solutions by focusing on clear goals and highlighting progress.
I utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help clients process and reframe distressing experiences in a safe and structured way. Together, we will work to get to the root of trauma responses, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and develop healthier, more meaningful, and realistic coping strategies to support healing and resilience.
