Nkemdilim Ohaka, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner and a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Nkemdilim obtained her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Kaplan University currently known as Perdue University. Her desire for knowledge and expertise in nursing made her return to school and obtained her master’s degree in nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I provide quality mental health care to patients across the lifespan by using evidenced-base guidelines and clinical experience. As a PMHNP, my treatment focus begins with a comprehensive evaluation with the goal of making an accurate clinical diagnosis. I applied holistic approach in my practice which focuses on treating the whole person and not just the symptoms of the disease. My services utilize combination of psychopharmacology and psychotherapy for multiple psychiatric pathologies such as Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Insomnia, Psychosis, PTSD, and Bipolar. I believe in empowering my patients by helping them be active participants in their treatment plan and develop a trust relationship with them and their families.

My treatment method is combination of psychopharmacology and psychotherapy depending upon the condition and the individual preference. The tools are HAM-A for Anxiety and PHQ-9 for Depression.
