About me

I have been a psychologist for over 30 years and in that time have worked with many client populations and in a variety of capacities. Currently I see adults from 18 years onwards via telehealth. Many are facing life changes and health challenges. Some feel stuck in their lives and unable to make their next step. I endeavor to meet them where they are and assist them as they journey forward.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

We will initially discuss what brings you to therapy; what is going on in your life; why now…This will include some history, an exploration of your strengths, interests, and social support.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths seem to be my ‘calm’ and my compassion for my clients; at least this is the feedback I have gotten over the years. My therapeutic approach is largely eclectic; I try to work within the framework that my clients can respond too and provide tools that will help in their everyday life and in their greatest challenges.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client tries to be open to the possibilities that they don't yet see; willing to take on new skills or behavior pattern's which they agree might facilitate the desired change that they seek, and be reflective between therapy sessions and engaged in their self care as we may discuss in our sessions together.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I have been utilizing this approach directly and indirectly for years; particularly where stress response is heightened.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Many people have a fixed outlook on an issue in their lives and it is often helpful to reframe this and look at it from a different perspective.

Positive Psychology

The field of positive psychology and happiness studies are extremely helpful to many suffering from depression and mood fluctuations

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

Many people have had a phobic response to situations in their lives that they must continue to navigate. This approach is self guided but coached as appropriate in therapy.
