As a therapist, I specialize in helping clients manage anxiety and stress by using evidence-based practices that support personal growth. I take a person-centered approach, tailoring treatment to meet each client's unique needs. This includes using therapeutic methods like CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help clients discover their own solutions to challenges. My relaxed and approachable style creates a safe, supportive space where clients feel secure and comfortable. I work at a pace that feels right for each individual, ensuring a positive and empowering experience.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is focused on completing a comprehensive assessment to tailor services to your specific needs and goals. It may feel more structured compared to typical sessions, but this process helps me gain a clear understanding of your history and current concerns. It also ensures your safety and addresses any immediate crisis needs. During this session, you'll have the opportunity to ask questions about the process and start building trust and rapport with me as your provider.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a provider is helping clients who feel lost find validation, motivation, and the confidence to make meaningful changes in their lives. Clients often tell me they’re amazed by their progress, noting that my relaxed, approachable style makes sessions feel different—and more comfortable—compared to their experiences with other providers.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have completed comprehensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which I incorporate as a core method in my practice. DBT supports client empowerment by teaching key skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. I use these skills to help clients manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and build healthier coping mechanisms. By fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship, DBT enables clients to gain greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence in handling life’s challenges.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have integrated Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my practice as a powerful tool for helping clients rewire their responses to life's obstacles and barriers. CBT helps clients develop effective tools and practices to modify their reactions to stress, focusing on replacing negative thought patterns with more balanced, realistic perspectives. By emphasizing positive coping strategies, CBT supports clients in fostering emotional wellness, building resilience, and improving overall mental well-being.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I integrate Mindfulness-Based Therapy (MBT) into my practice to help clients cultivate present-moment awareness and acceptance. Through mindfulness techniques, clients learn to observe their thoughts and emotions non-judgmentally, promoting emotional regulation and reducing stress. MBT empowers clients to develop greater self-awareness and resilience, enhancing their ability to cope with life's challenges in a grounded and balanced way.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to help clients focus on their strengths and resources to create solutions, rather than dwell on problems. By emphasizing future goals and building on past successes, SFT encourages clients to envision positive outcomes and take practical steps toward achieving them. This strengths-based approach is effective for clients looking for quick, practical solutions to specific challenges in their lives.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a key approach in my practice that focuses on strengthening clients’ intrinsic motivation for change. By using open-ended questions, reflective listening, and affirmations, MI helps clients explore their ambivalence, identify personal goals, and build confidence in their ability to make positive changes. This collaborative, client-centered approach encourages clients to move toward meaningful behavioral shifts at their own pace.
