I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counsellor (LPCC) based in California. I received my Masters from Texas A&M University of San Antonio (yes, I’m a native Texan living in CA), and have been practicing for 4.5 years. I assist my clients in overcoming negative thoughts ,and breaking systems of perceptions that aren’t serving them well. I enjoy supporting my clients in building their self-esteem and self- worth, and help them find a new version of their life in which they have opportunities to experience freedom and self acceptance.
As expected, the first few sessions can be a little daunting. I am very aware of many uncertainties and anxiety that may arise, therefore my warm and accepting presence helps build vulnerability and trust within the therapeutic alliance. I am very confident that after a few sessions, my clients will feel safe to speak and share what is on their mind and what may be plaguing their heart.
My greatest strength is the ability to enable my clients to feel safe. My nonjudgmental countenance helps my clients feel that I am their advocate. Not only do I offer support, when necessary I offer the gift of challenging their own thoughts and perspectives. I utilize this effective tool to help my clients take a greater look at their inner world and how their external world is being impacted.
I am ready to serve clients who are ready to get unstuck. I work very well with clients who want to process pains in their life, and also have the willingness to dig deep, take a good look at how they are showing up in life and determine that they want change.
I use Brainspotting when my clients feel emotionally stuck, experience anxiety or need assistance process through reoccurring thoughts.
Depending on one’s faith to assist on a journey of wholeness and freedom has offered my clients great optimism in regards to their healing.
I have found success when integrating spirituality within sessions, as it is a foundational tool that can lead to greater healing.
Sometimes it’s necessary to accept that which is, and move forward toward what can be. ACT has helped my clients move beyond their rumination and negative thinking patterns.
Having my clients understand the motives behind their behaviors and thinking has helped aid them in taking back control of how they show up in life
