LCSW, 3 years of experience
Hi, I'm Michelle! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Connecticut and I want to start by saying how excited I am for you to be here! You are taking the first step in your healing journey and I encourage you to pause and celebrate this moment. Beginning this journey can be intimidating but it’s also incredibly empowering. I am passionate about supporting young adults 18+ who are struggling with self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and other challenges. My goal is to help those who feel lost, stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected move beyond these feelings and cultivate the life they truly desire—whether that means finding inner peace, building confidence, fostering compassion, deepening connections, or achieving a balanced life. Together, we will work to reframe unhelpful thinking patterns, develop assertive communication skills, define your core values, and set healthy boundaries. My aim is to empower you to create both the inner and outer world you envision, enhancing your overall well-being and quality of life. Additionally, I specialize in assisting those struggling with infertility. This journey can be emotionally taxing and isolating, affecting your relationships and other aspects of your life. I am here to provide a safe, understanding space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings. Step by step, we will navigate this challenging time together. When you're ready to take the next step in your healing journey, schedule our first session, and let’s work together to achieve your goals. If you do not see the appointment time you want please reach out to me directly to schedule. My contact information is provided on my website below. In our first session, clients can expect a warm, collaborative space where we begin to get to know each other. I’ll ask questions to understand what brought you to therapy, what you're hoping to work on, and how things have been impacting your daily life. We’ll explore your goals and what feeling “better” might look like for you. You don’t need to have it all figured out — this is a space where it’s safe to just show up as you are. I’ll gently guide the process, while also making room for whatever emotions come up. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and a little more hopeful about what’s possible.
One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to create a space that feels both safe and real. I listen deeply, but I also gently challenge clients when needed, helping them move beyond surface-level venting toward deeper insight and growth. I balance empathy with practical skill-building, weaving together nervous system regulation, self-trust, and compassion work. I bring my full humanity into the therapy room — intuition, humor, resilience — so that clients feel truly seen, supported, and empowered to heal.
I work best with adults who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected — whether it’s from anxiety, low self-esteem, life transitions, trauma, or infertility. My clients are often self-aware, but still hard on themselves. They may find it difficult to trust their emotions, quiet their inner critic, or fully step into who they are. Many are seeking not just relief, but real growth — a deeper understanding of themselves, more emotional freedom, and practical tools to help them feel grounded. I’m a good fit for clients who are open to building insight, gently being challenged, and exploring healing with a therapist who brings warmth, intuition, and a little bit of humor into the process.
CBT helps us identify unhelpful thinking patterns that negatively impact our feelings and how we respond (or behave) due to those thoughts and feelings. Together we will identify your unhelpful thinking patterns and develop practical strategies to bring about immediate positive changes to improve your quality of life.
In my practice I use an eclectic approach when working with clients. I see each client as an individual with their own unique needs and then match the approach to meet the client where they are at. Healing is not a one size fits all journey so together we will find what works best for you so you can begin to cultivate the changes you wish to see for yourself.
