Learn the life-long adaptive skills you need to maintain a healthy connection to your true self and your personal mission. (Don't know what that looks like? That's okay! We will figure it out together!)
You can expect one-on-one collaboration and clear communication in a comfortable in-person setting. Together we will identify your goals and define your path to wellness using a powerful combination of cognitive therapies, creative interventions, and psychoeducation.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified K-8 Educator, and Yoga Instructor, trained in utilizing Expressive Arts Interventions, Mindfulness, and Trauma-Informed Practices in educational and therapeutic settings. My therapeutic approach begins simply with noticing... noticing thoughts, feelings, emotions...and using these as a starting point to ease into healing.
Teens ready for growth and purpose... adults looking for a more grounded, authentic existence... educators in need of support and restoration...let's schedule a consultation call to see how we can work together. As a certified educator who has spent over 20 years in K-8 schools, I have a special place in my heart for educators experiencing the stress of high demands in education today.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy addresses and challenges unhelpful thinking patterns to ease anxiety and depression symptoms and learn to befriend the mind so we can send messages of safety to the body.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy helps us see that two things can be true at once and gives us tools to manage the strong emotions that may accompany conflicts.
Group Therapy
Group Therapy can be especially supportive, as it allows for participants to learn from the facilitator and feel validated by fellow members going through the same things they are.
Somatic
Somatic Therapies help identify how stress, both the helpful and unhelpful kinds, impact the body. These interventions address nervous system dysregulation and help the body send messages of safety to the brain. Expressive Arts Therapies (drawing, painting, poetry, writing, music, movement) are incorporated into sessions when appropriate to help enhance communication, perspective, and release.
