I am a therapist dedicated to providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and holistic mental health care. My practice is rooted in deep human connection and meeting you where you are, honoring all aspects of your identity, environment, and lived experience.

My approach stands out because I bring my full, human self into the therapy room—combining specialized clinical insight with the real-world warmth of a friend with rich life experience.

I aim to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you can process life’s challenges, build emotional resilience, and restore meaningful connection to yourself and your community.

First session

Working with me means entering a safe, collaborative space where your pace, voice, and culture are always respected. In our first session, we will focus on building comfort, exploring what brings you to therapy, and understanding your unique goals without pressure or judgment. Together, we will work at a pace that feels grounded and supportive, focusing on practical strategies and deep emotional healing that fit seamlessly into your daily life.

Strengths

My approach stands out because I bring my full, human self into the therapy room—combining specialized clinical insight with the real-world warmth of a mother, friend, and person with rich life experience. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all model or rigid clinical distance. My greatest strength is integrating trauma-focused care and cultural humility with a holistic perspective, helping clients look at the whole picture—mind, body, relationships, and heritage—so they can heal deeply and navigate life with clarity and self-compassion.

Ideal clients

I work best with individuals and families who are seeking deeper self-awareness, emotional healing, and genuine connectivity. My ideal clients are often working through the impact of past trauma, stress, or major life changes, and are looking for care that considers their whole picture—mind, body, background, and relationships. They don't need to have all the answers; they just need a willingness to explore their story in a safe, non-judgmental environment where their culture and lived experiences are fully respected.

Treatment methods

Trauma-Informed Care

Using trauma-informed care means creating a deeply respectful, collaborative environment where your voice and boundaries are paramount. I recognize that trauma impacts how we relate to ourselves and others, so my practice focuses heavily on safety, emotional attunement, and connection. By looking at the whole picture of your life—including your culture, lived experiences, and environment—we work together to gently process past pain and cultivate sustainable tools for everyday well-being.

Narrative

Narrative therapy is a core component of my holistic approach because it honors the richness of your personal history. We work together to unpack dominant stories—especially those shaped by past trauma, systemic pressures, or cultural expectations—that may leave you feeling stuck or self-critical. By viewing your life through a lens of curiosity rather than judgment, we give voice to forgotten strengths and construct new, empowering narratives that align with your authentic self and goals.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I apply a person-centered, humanistic approach by putting your unique lived experience, values, and voice at the center of our work. For me, humanistic care means practicing true cultural humility and active presence. I create a space free of judgment where you can show up fully—without needing to perform or edit who you are. By honoring your pacing, validating your feelings, and focusing on your inherent strengths, we foster an environment where self-trust and genuine transformation can take root.
