LCSW, 7 years of experience
Welcome! I'm Annemarie and I would love to be your guide on your journey toward peace and self-discovery. Seeking support is such a huge step and often times a difficult one to take. But here you are! Now that the difficult part is behind you, let's talk about how I can help. Over the last 6 years, I have worked with a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges which include depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, grief and loss, and life transitions. During our sessions, you can expect compassion and collaboration. Ours will be a non-judgmental, safe space where you can learn and practice evidence-based strategies to assist you with your challenges.
The primary goal of our first session together will be information gathering, such as history and background, current needs and goals, and future goals for therapy. Throughout the session, however, we will get to know each other a bit better and determine compatibility. While the session will focus on you and your needs, you are welcome to ask me questions as well! I know the first session can be a bit anxiety-inducing, thus I can assure you that your comfort and ease are my chief focus.
I follow a holistic approach to therapy with the belief that mind and body are interconnected. When the mind is in upheaval, the body follows. When mind and body are at peace, healing begins. As a provider, I check-in with my clients often to ensure that they are incorporating regular self-care, which encompasses both mental and physical health and wellness.
I current serve adults of all ages, from young adults to older adults.
I believe in tailoring treatment modalities to the individual. What works for one person, may not be effective for another. Through collaboration and consistent feedback, we will create a unique approach to treatment, thereby utilizing multiple modalities to best meet your needs as an individual.
