About me

Hi, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LISW) based in Ohio. I received my Masters degree from The Ohio State University and have been practicing for over 12 years. I help adults struggling with anxiety and depression understand the negative core beliefs driving their behaviors and thoughts. I work with you to install new believes that are true, that are not based out of fear, past trauma or self sabotage.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you want to address. We will explore the ways you are showing up in your life currently and compare that to the ideal way you would like to be. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having been trained in trauma based therapy practices over the past 7 years, I've developed a tried and true thinking patterns framework for helping you 1, identify the negative core beliefs driving your behaviors, and 2, create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress and a more free and fulfilling life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with women who are working through childhood trauma that came from the parenting or lack of parenting they received. My clients are eager to re-write the stories of their past but don't quite have the language, confidence or tools needed to live a more fulfilling life free from guilt and shame. My clients often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious around living a happy life that is not centered around their childhood trauma.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have over 12 years experience using CBT therapy techniques. If you are experiencing negative thoughts about your life and your situation or you notice a feeling of hopelessness, as if things will never improve in your life CBT can help you reframe your thoughts. We work through how your thinking impacts your feelings and those feelings then impact the actions you take. The goal of CBT is to help you explore the thoughts that are not working for you and create new ways of seeing your past experiences.
