As a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) and board-certified art therapist (ATR-BC), I believe in the transformative power of creativity and the wisdom held within the body. In my practice, I offer a unique blend of creative processing and somatic modalities to explore the depths of your inner world with compassion and curiosity. Life can be a journey filled with unexpected twists and turns, and it's okay to seek support along the way. Whether you're grappling with the aftermath of complex trauma, navigating the intricacies of attachment patterns, or embarking on a quest to understand your identity, I'm here to walk beside you. From exploring questions of gender and sexuality to finding fulfillment in your career, I provide a safe and nonjudgmental space for you to explore, heal, and grow.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, we will explore what brought you into therapy at this time in your life. I like to take things slow and just get to know you - the important supports you have in your life, the identities you're bringing into the room, if you have had therapy experiences in the past, as well as what you're currently feeling and your hopes for the therapy space. We have plenty of time to dive in - let's walk at your own pace and get comfortable with one another.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I take quite a bit of time to craft the therapeutic relationship - I want you to feel comfortable, heard, seen, and safe(r) in this space. I typically work in a semi-unstructured way, as I need to meet you where you're at when you walk into the room. For example, if you are running into session late because you worked late and overslept, you're going to be unregulated. We'll spend some time just orienting to the space, getting settled, and regulating your nervous system a bit.

My treatment methods

Adlerian

I use Adlerian therapy to focus heavily on each person's sense of purpose and belonging. It's helpful to explore one's worldview and how that has informed their interactions with others.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

My work is very person-centered, with an emphasis on creating safety and trust in the therapeutic relationship. Together, we can explore identity, life purpose, and attachment patterns to enhance one's self-discovery.

Somatic

My practice often combines art therapy with somatic processing. This typically looks like "going into" the body, discovering parts of the self, and creatively processing those parts. We often don't know how much we're holding in our bodies - this gives us a chance to work with individual parts to understand how they are affecting us day-to-day.
