New to Grow
I believe each person has a story to tell, and an experience to share. I am here to give you a listening ear and to hear you, in your time of need. Maybe you're overwhelmed by your current situation or you could be overextending yourself for everyone else. It could unprocessed past trauma that is haunting your present. Whatever it maybe, you deserve a safe, confidential space to share and repair what you've been carrying for far too long. Let me walk with you through your hurt, pain, and into a new space.
The first session will last approximately 60 minutes and will encompass a full intake of your medical history, social history, current life stressors, etc. This will be more of information collection and establishment of our relationship and what goals you may have for therapy. I will ask several questions to understand you and how you see the world. You are more than welcome to share and ask whatever you need as well.
I have a keen ability to be fully present with each of my clients and I strive to provide this every session. I utilize data and self report to evaluate how we are doing through the therapy process. You present yourself to me and I help you unravel the chaos is your mind. I believe in you and I am honored that you would consider allowing me to walk with you in your theraputic journey.
I enjoy serving those who participate in their own healing and expect to set and reach collaborative goals. I work with those who may not know how to start or what to do that choose to take a step forward anyway. I work with those that often do not feel heard by the people around them.
I incorporate Person-Centered Therapy into most sessions in order to provide a tailored experience for each individual. I naturally align with the Rogerian counseling approach as a collaborative style.
I often utilize CBT methods to help client increase emotional well being by understanding and adjusting negative behavior patterns. I believe in teaching practical skills to help each client self-regulate better in their daily life.
I use Adlerian Therapy as needed in my practice to understand the person as a whole. We are much bigger and more complex than one event. I utilize your unique experiences and lifestyle to help you understand motivations, and help create personal goals.
