Welcome! I'm Holly Riggs a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience. Life is full of unexpected twists and turns and sometimes we require help to navigate the path forward and ensure that we are able to grow from some of the most challenging experiences. As we go through life and face all kinds of expected and unexpected situations, the coping skills that helped us before can start to feel unhelpful. That’s when therapy can really step in and help out. I will work with you to identify new coping techniques and strategies

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session I will focus on getting to know a little bit about you and about what brought you to therapy in the first place. We will also discuss the goals that you have for yourself and begin setting some goals for us to work toward together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have been practicing in the field for the past 22 years working with chronic and terminal illness, anxiety, depression and loss and grief. I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches but am particularly fond of narrative therapy which allows clients to be the voice of change in their own lives. I will work with you to develop a treatment plan that aims to focus on your areas of struggle. I firmly believe that it is the relationship between client and therapist that is the "magic ingredient" so if you feel that I may be someone you would like to work with please reach out.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with individuals and couples who are struggling with loss and grief related to illness, death or interpersonal relationship concerns. My goal is to provide a safe and open place for clients to explore their adjustment concerns, anxiety and depression that can arise from such loss. Together we can focus on the areas that are holding you back from being able to go out and fully engage in the world around you and with the people who care about you the most.
