LCSW, 15 years of experience
New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey and New York, specializing in perinatal mental health, anxiety, and eating and body image concerns. I’m passionate about supporting women through fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and the many identity shifts that accompany motherhood. For clients with a history of eating or body image distress, I integrate intuitive eating and body neutrality to help them find peace with food and their bodies. After years of working in hospital and outpatient settings in New York City, I chose to focus on what I’m most passionate about—helping women navigate the often overwhelming emotions that come with pregnancy and new motherhood. I support moms who feel anxious about their baby’s milestones, worry about feeding, feel disconnected, or find themselves snapping at their partner and wondering, “What’s happening to me?”
Our first session is just a getting to know you session where I’ll explore where you came from up the present to get a sense of how you came to be! Unless something is urgent, we try and keep it focused on gathering info and seeing if it's a good fit.
My approach is integrative and compassionate. I combine Brainspotting, DBT, and mindfulness with an understanding of the mind-body connection. I am intensively trained in DBT, Brainspotting Phases 1 & 2, and perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International (PSI), and I hold advanced training in integrative mental health. I’m a married mom of two spirited children, a yoga enthusiast, and a believer that life doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful. I help clients find calm, confidence, and connection amid the chaos of life.
I work with adolescents and women struggling with school, career, perinatal mental health, motherhood and food and mood. Let's use your amazing strengths and channel them towards your values. What would your life be like if you could heal from your past and enjoy your present. You can have peace with parenting, food, body, and relationships.
DBT skills are an excellent way to help clients learn to manage their intense emotions. Emotions are great and serve a purpose so we don’t want to push them down but find ways to use them in meaningful or less harmful ways. It can help you find a life worth living!
Brainpsotting is a deep, focused mindfulness that helps you access a deeper part of the brain than talk therapy can. Similar to EMDR, but more flexible. Trauma can stay stuck in the body and get triggered through physical symptoms and emotional reactions in the present day.
