I'm an LCSW specializing in trauma, grief, attachment wounds, and anxiety. I help people understand why they react the way they do, so they can respond with greater clarity, confidence, and self trust. With over eight years of experience working with adults, young adults, and teens, I've helped clients navigate trauma, grief, anxiety, and the patterns that keep showing up no matter how hard they try to outthink them. Therapy with me is collaborative, honest, and human. I show up as a real person who is warm, down to earth, and willing to gently challenge the patterns that are keeping you stuck when the time is right. I infuse our sessions with moments of humor when it helps create connection and ease, while also making space for the difficult conversations and emotions that deserve attention. I use evidence based approaches including EMDR, CBT, DBT, trauma informed care, and parts oriented work because they help create lasting change, not just insight. My goal is not for you to depend on therapy forever. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, trust yourself, and leave therapy with the confidence and tools to navigate life long after our work together ends.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and decide whether we are a good fit. We will spend time understanding what brings you to therapy, what has been feeling difficult, what you have already tried, and what you hope will be different moving forward. You do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, with a clear understanding of how I work and a sense of whether my approach feels like the right fit for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my strengths is helping people make sense of experiences that have felt confusing for years. Clients often tell me they leave sessions understanding themselves in a way they never have before. Together, we connect the dots between your past experiences, your nervous system, your relationships, and the patterns that continue to show up today. I am EMDR trained with two formal trainings and ongoing consultation, and I integrate approaches such as CBT, DBT, trauma informed care, and parts oriented work based on your individual needs, not a one size fits all approach. My background includes over eight years of supporting people through trauma, grief, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and crisis, allowing me to hold complex experiences with calm, compassion, and clarity. Therapy with me is active, collaborative, and practical. We will do more than talk about your week. We will identify patterns, process what has been keeping you stuck, build skills that fit your life, and work toward meaningful changes that extend beyond our sessions together.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults who are ready to understand themselves on a deeper level, not just learn coping skills. Many of my clients have spent years trying to push through anxiety, trauma, grief, or chronic stress. They're insightful and often know why they struggle, but they still find themselves stuck in patterns like overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, self-doubt, or feeling emotionally overwhelmed. Our work goes beyond talking about what happened. Together, we make sense of how your experiences have shaped the way you think, feel, and respond today. I help clients understand their nervous system, recognize the protective patterns that once helped them survive, and build practical tools that create meaningful, lasting change. The clients who tend to get the most from our work are open to honest conversations, willing to be curious about themselves, and ready to do the deeper work that leads to feeling more confident, connected, and grounded in everyday life.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I use EMDR to help clients process distressing memories, emotional patterns, and experiences that continue to show up in the present. EMDR supports the brain in integrating these memories in a healthier and more adaptive way, reducing their emotional intensity and the symptoms that come with them. I have three years of experience using EMDR and have completed two formal trainings, along with ongoing consultations, conferences, and advanced workshops to deepen my skills. My approach to EMDR is steady, supportive, and client centered. I focus on building safety first, helping you feel grounded and prepared before moving into any deeper work. Together, we will move at a pace that feels right for you, with the goal of helping you understand your experiences, strengthen regulation, and create meaningful and lasting change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another, especially during moments of stress, anxiety, or overwhelm. Together, we explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop practical strategies that support clearer thinking, healthier coping, and meaningful change. CBT is a collaborative and structured approach, and it focuses on building skills that you can apply in your everyday life. My intention is to create a supportive environment where you feel encouraged to reflect, experiment with new tools, and take steps that align with your goals and values. We move at a pace that feels comfortable, gradually strengthening your ability to respond to challenges with clarity and confidence.

Trauma Informed Care

In trauma informed therapy, the foundation is safety, empowerment, and understanding. This approach acknowledges how past experiences can shape emotions, behaviors, relationships, and the nervous system, and it supports you in rebuilding a sense of stability and trust within yourself. We work together to create a space where you feel grounded, respected, and in control of the pace and direction of your healing. Our work will focus on strengthening your resilience, expanding your capacity to navigate difficult emotions, and helping you reconnect with a sense of choice and clarity. Each step is guided by your needs and readiness, honoring your strengths while supporting you in moving toward meaningful and lasting healing.

Grief Therapy

Grief therapy offers a compassionate and steady space to process loss and the many emotions that often accompany it. Every grief experience is unique, and this approach honors your individual journey while supporting you in making sense of your feelings, memories, and the shifts that follow significant loss. Together, we move gently and intentionally, creating room for both the pain and the meaning that can emerge over time. Our work focuses on helping you navigate grief at a pace that feels right for you, while building comfort, connection, and a renewed sense of grounding. The goal is not to erase your loss but to support you in carrying it with greater ease, understanding, and emotional resilience.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients make sense of why they react the way they do. Many people notice patterns like overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, self-criticism, or feeling emotionally shut down without fully understanding where those reactions come from. In session, we identify the parts behind those patterns, understand what they have been protecting, and help clients respond from their present-day self rather than from old survival strategies.
