I became a therapist through a lifelong passion for helping others and personal experiences that shaped my understanding of trauma, addiction, and healing. My work with diverse populations, including individuals facing substance abuse, eating disorders, and life challenges, has strengthened my commitment to providing a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore growth, healing, and self-discovery at their own pace.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, my goal is to create a comfortable and supportive space where you feel heard without judgment. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, personal history, and the goals you hope to achieve through the therapeutic process. I also understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, so we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you while beginning to build a strong therapeutic connection and collaborative treatment plan.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is my ability to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to be themselves. I understand that each person’s experiences and healing process are unique, so I tailor treatment to meet individual needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. By combining evidence-based practices such as CBT, EMDR, and Solution-Focused Therapy with genuine compassion and collaboration, I help clients gain insight, build healthier coping skills, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful, lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to work with individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma, life transitions, stress, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, and difficulties related to emotional regulation or past experiences. I enjoy working with clients who may feel overwhelmed, stuck in negative patterns, or unsure of how to move forward, but are open to gaining insight and developing healthier coping strategies. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, helping clients feel safe while working toward goals such as healing from trauma, improving confidence, achieving emotional balance, building healthier relationships, and creating a greater sense of fulfillment in daily life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Thoughts are not facts, although it can often feel that way when our minds are filled with unwanted or negative thinking patterns. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and physical sensations. Together, we work to better understand why certain reactions occur, identify unhelpful patterns, and develop healthier ways of coping to prevent those cycles from continuing. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping clients build practical tools they can apply in everyday life.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a trauma-focused approach that helps clients process distressing experiences that may continue to impact their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In my practice, I use EMDR to help clients safely explore and reprocess difficult memories while building emotional regulation and coping skills throughout the process. EMDR can help reduce the emotional intensity connected to past experiences, allowing clients to develop healthier beliefs about themselves and move forward with greater confidence, safety, and emotional balance. I approach this work at each client’s pace, creating a supportive and collaborative environment throughout treatment.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a goal-oriented approach that focuses on identifying strengths, building on existing coping skills, and creating practical solutions rather than remaining focused on the problem itself. In my practice, I use this approach to help clients recognize patterns of resilience, explore what is already working in their lives, and develop achievable goals for meaningful change. By focusing on small, realistic steps forward, clients are able to build confidence, improve problem-solving skills, and create lasting progress in a supportive and collaborative environment.
