Warm

As a South Asian American therapist, I create a warm, culturally attuned space where you can safely explore your identity, challenges, and goals. I draw from years of experience working with teens and adults navigating life transitions, trauma, and cultural stressors—especially within immigrant, first-generation, and BIPOC communities. My goal is to help you build insight, develop tools that actually work, and feel more grounded in your day-to-day life. Whether you're working through anxiety, relationship issues, burnout, or identity-related struggles, I approach each session with compassion, curiosity, and deep respect for your lived experience. I want therapy with me to feel like an anchor—a place where your voice is heard and your growth is the focus.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and begin identifying what brought you to therapy. You can expect a balance of structured questions and open dialogue, all at your comfort level. I’ll explain how I work, what you can expect moving forward, and how we can collaborate on your goals. This is also your time to ask questions—about therapy in general, my approach, or anything else that will help you feel supported and safe. My intention is to create a grounded, pressure-free space where you feel seen and empowered to move at your own pace.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths lie in my cultural responsiveness, adaptability, and ability to hold space without judgment. I bring a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, and I tailor my approach to fit your unique needs—whether that’s structured guidance or open-ended reflection. Clients often share that they feel both emotionally safe and gently challenged in our work, which helps them move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with clients who are open to self-reflection and ready to make meaningful changes, even when the process is uncomfortable. I support teens, adults, and professionals—particularly those from multicultural, immigrant, or South Asian backgrounds—who are navigating identity, anxiety, trauma, or life transitions. I also welcome clients from LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. With training in both short-term models and long-term trauma-informed therapy, I tailor sessions to your needs and pace. Whether you're in crisis or simply feeling stuck, I help you build clarity, emotional resilience, and sustainable coping tools. Therapy with me is collaborative, culturally mindful, and grounded in the belief that healing is both possible and personal.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) plays a vital role in my practice, by helping clients embrace their emotions and values while committing to meaningful actions aligned with their goals, fostering psychological flexibility and resilience.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a cornerstone of my practice, as it empowers individuals to recognize and challenge negative thought patterns, leading to healthier behaviors and emotions. Through structured sessions and interventions, clients learn practical skills to manage their symptoms and improve their overall well-being.

Parent-child therapy is a crucial aspect of my practice, allowing me to facilitate healthier communication and relationships within families by addressing underlying issues and implementing effective strategies for positive interaction and growth. I am also certified in Positive Youth Development approach to therapy for adolescent clients.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is the foundation of my approach to therapy, offering clients a comprehensive approach to managing emotions, improving relationships, and building mindfulness skills. I integrate its techniques, such as distress tolerance and emotion regulation, to help clients navigate life's challenges effectively.

Feminist

I utilize principles of Feminist Therapy to create a safe and inclusive space, where clients can explore how societal factors influence their mental health and relationships, fostering personal growth and empowerment. It allows the empowerment of individuals by addressing power dynamics, social injustices, and gender-related issues.
