New to Grow
I went back to school at age 30 to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My specialization is in gerontology, but I have worked with a variety of clients, including children in foster care and adults in court-mandated therapy. These days, I typically work with individuals who are seeking more out of life. I enjoy working with age ranges of tweens to older adults. I love meeting and connecting with new clients. Working with clients and helping them achieve their goals is what I love about my job!
Whether we are meeting remotely or in-person, I want to get to know you and why you are seeking therapy. Many people who are seeking therapy for the first time are nervous, so I like to put people at ease. If we meet in-person, you are welcome to get a cup of coffee and have a seat on my comfy couch.
I have worked with a wide variety of individuals dealing with various life issues. I think this has made me more experienced, but also more compassionate.
I love working with people who are dealing with life transitions, or feel "stuck" in what they're doing. I also work with those who have past trauma, low self-esteem, anxiety, or are just generally feeling "off". Clients come to therapy for a variety of reasons. I am here for you, whether you want to work through past trauma, navigate your current life situation, or just have someone to bounce things off of.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a popular and effective modality that treats a wide array of concerns. I use this most commonly in my practice.
Grief Therapy
We all process grief in different ways. I can provide support and offer methods to help you cope.
