I enjoy working with clients to reach their therapeutic goals and bring peace and a desired balance into their lives by utilizing an integrative, holistic and practical approach toward achieving client goals. I incorporate a variety of techniques such as Person-Centered, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Interpersonal Neurobiology & Mindfulness/Awareness combined with a reality-based approach that encourages self-acceptance and insight. I believe in the essence of holistic health and working together to create a lasting positive impact in overall well-being. I am also drawn to working in collaborative and creative ways providing multi-faceted approaches to addressing holistic health needs of the individual and their communities. My Specialties include working with (but not limited to); LGBTQIA+ persons, couples work (traditional and non-traditional), Trans teens, Suicide prevention and intervention, bi-polar and identity challenges/transitions (ie. parenthood, job/professional changes, life stage concerns, etc..). I have been trained and practiced in both the traditional long-term therapy and short-term therapy methods to include single session therapy models. I thoroughly enjoy working with traditional and non-traditional couples on understanding their relational dynamics and achieving lasting changes in their relationships. I am also a partner, a mother, an avid horse rider, veracious reader, outdoorsy person and an Army Veteran.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Hi there - During our first session we will introduce ourselves, discuss the overall logistics of therapy and the therapeutic alliance, explore what has brought you to therapy, discuss goals and of course answer and questions or concerns you may have. The first session can sometimes feel more like an interview than therapeutic but often clients leave feeling lighter and optimistic with a plan in place!

- Attachment Theory (ie. how you learned to do relationships and how relationships impact your day to day) - Emotionally Focused Therapy (identifying, understanding and accepting emotions and how emotional responses play out in your life), - Person-Centered Approach (Ie. the client is their own best expert and I am here to walk through this with you), - Internal Family Systems (Understanding your coping skills and how they protect you) - Somatic recognition (Understanding your bodily response to your world)

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist I feel privilege to work with each and every one of my clients. Sessions and content are not always easy but we are in this together! I believe therapy is a team approach and I am here to understand your world and the impact stress, depression, anxiety, sleep, wellness and other mental health diagnosis have on your day to day life. We will work together to understand how you relate to others and work toward a more fulfilling experience.
