(she/her)
Welcome! Bienvenidos! My therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that holistic care is crucial to supporting and healing ourselves, our families, and our communities. As a bilingual, bicultural therapist, I actively integrate clients’ cultural identities and strengths into therapy. Through my background and experience as a school social worker and working with young people, I have developed a passion for working with young people including adolescents and adults. Developing a solid therapeutic alliance is my number one goal. I believe that all change comes out of a meaningful connection. I will hear your story to co-create goals that will allow you to live your life with ease, joy, and confidence. I believe you have a story worth telling and I will provide a safe and affirming space for you to speak your truth and explore your inner world with more openness and self-love. We will take a holistic approach and consider the various aspects of your life. I will support you in centering and guiding you in this healing process. I have both my Bachelor's and Masters's in Social Worker from The University of Chicago as well as a master's in Educational Leadership from The University of California-Los Angeles.
Through my therapeutic approach, we will take a holistic perspective and consider the various aspects of your life. I will support in centering you, supporting, and guiding you in this healing process. We will go over client confidentiality, cancellation, and appointment policies and review a treatment plan together in order to achieve your target goals.
The most significant areas of strength for me are client rapport. One of the most important things for me as a therapist is the client/therapist relationship. I believe in a warm, supportive, nonjudgemental approach to therapy in which clients can express their true selves and feel comfortable enough to do so. I am particularly passionate about expanding areas in therapeutic support for young adults (quarter-life crisis). As well as a continued passion for adolescents. I also have a restorative practice lens to therapy and social justice acknowledging that we are on colonized land and as culturally humble and open as I try to be I acknowledge working within and through colonized/westernized training.
I use it in regards to processing through various thoughts and emotions and reframing thoughts based on experiences.
Culturally aware and understanding of differences that bring us to therapy.
Always focused on our inner strengths and brilliance that brings us to therapy.
