I am a the widow of a veteran and a mother of 5 children. I enjoy spending time outside in the sunshine. I began my journey to become a therapist in my 40's after the loss of my husband, a veteran with PTSD. I am always working to learn more and be the best therapist possible for my clients. I would love to help you explore your life and achieve your goals!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we will get to know one another. I am comfortable taking whatever pace you prefer. If you are ready to talk, you will have that space. If you prefer I take the lead , I will guide you on an exploration of life to find what you need.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths are my ability to connect and create a collaborative, non-judgmental space for growth and healing.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I was trained in EMDR in 2021. EMDR is an effective method of treating many diagnosis, but is generally associated with its use in treating trauma. EMDR focuses more on the body and less on "talking it out".

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Cognitive processing is utilized to work through stuck points in life. CPT involves written homework and is best for someone that likes to write.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT focuses on increasing coping skills, mindfulness, and positive interpersonal interactions.

Grief Therapy

We will all experience grief in our life time. Grief may come when someone we dies, we leave a job, experience divorce . Let me walk beside you on this journey.
