Each new day creates an opportunity for you to think and live differently. I am a highly skilled and versatile LGBTQ+ affirming clinician and have worked in Social Work for over 25 years. I am an LCSW-C in Maryland and the District of Columbia and specialize in working with transitional aged youth and adults ages 18+. I have partnered with individuals experiencing many challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, gender identity, addiction, and aging. I value the dignity and self-worth of all people. I believe recovery and healing are possible. Let's work together to untangle the root causes of your problems, repair brokenness, and create a path to wellness.
Our sessions are a journey of self-discovery. Your experience is uniquely your own. You will leave each session knowing that you are not alone. I will accompany you, without judgment or bias, as we navigate whatever challenges are presented and will allow you the time and space you need and deserve.
I take a person-centered and strength-based approach to therapy. I meet all my clients where they are and don't force them to be where I think they should be. I draw on multiple theoretical orientations and techniques, but lean toward client driven cognitive behavioral therapy. I will sometimes walk behind you, ahead of you, and most definitely beside you.
My greatest strength is my ability to connect with people of all backgrounds. I enjoy helping individuals grow and understand their full potential.
