My name is Donna Davis and I am a licensed professional counselor who has worked with individuals, couples, families, children and groups for the last 30 years. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns and challenges. Relationship issues......with spouse, parent, child, friend, boss, self or God, are often a motivation for seeking help. I have helped many clients with the difficulty of life transitions of all kinds, including grieving. While my therapy style is varied and personal, I am trained in many of the various approaches to therapy. I believe in the importance of treating the whole person. My goal is always to provide a warm and safe environment to explore those difficult issues in a way that brings healing, resolution or peace.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Helping couples come to a place in their relationship where they are once more experiencing peace and enjoyment of each other brings me great satisfaction. Helping women with difficult transitions (divorce, death, career issues, empty nest, etc.) is an area of strength.

Clients seeking marriage or pre-marriage counseling, clients working on life transitions of any kind including grief.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
I use EFT in working with so many relationship issues and find it one of the most effective methods in reconciliation. I have many years of training and experience in using this method.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I strive to listen carefully as a client shares the story of her/his life to help discern the issues and how we then seek to come to peace with the troubling issues through understanding and working together on needed changes. I have many years of training and experience using this theory.
Faith based therapy
Including the spiritual aspect of our journey is a great benefit in healing the whole person. My experience covers many years and exceptional training.
Couples Counseling
I have worked with many couples through the years and have effectively used EFT, Imago, Gottman and other methods.

Mrs. Davis is authentic, warm, very intelligent, wise and empowering. She is able to sit with emotional issues with patience and understanding. It is important to her that you are heard as well as provided with methods of relief, understanding and perspective on many crucial and painful experiences. Without hesitation, I would recommend Mrs. Davis to anyone that needs a Christian perspective on difficult issues in life to navigate.
