Hello! My name is Alexis Wise and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Professional School Counselor. I have been working in the School Counseling field since I earned my Master's degree from Kutztown University in 2021. I work with teens and adults on a wide variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, stress, motivation, confidence, and self-esteem. Therapy sessions are warm, supportive, and directed primarily by the client. Together, we will create an environment where thoughts and feelings can be expressed without fear of judgment. I focus on unconditional acceptance of my clients and strive to help all clients be the best they can be. Taking the first step to get support takes courage. If you are looking to make some positive changes in your life, let's chat!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive space where there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, talking about what brought you to therapy, and what you’re hoping for—whether that feels clear right now or not. I’ll ask gentle questions to better understand your experiences, concerns, and what’s been weighing on you, while also making space for anything you need in the moment. This session is as much about helping you feel comfortable and grounded as it is about gathering information. Together, we’ll begin to identify your goals for therapy and talk about how we might work together moving forward. Most importantly, you can expect to be met with compassion, curiosity, and respect—exactly as you are.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my approach is the importance I place on building a genuine, trusting relationship with my clients. I believe meaningful change happens when you feel safe, understood, and supported, so I work to create a space that feels collaborative, grounded, and human. You’re not being analyzed or “fixed”—we’re working together. In our work, I offer compassion alongside gentle challenge. We take time to understand the thoughts, beliefs, and patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and we explore them with curiosity rather than judgment. I help clients learn how to question unhelpful narratives, develop more supportive ways of relating to themselves, and move forward with greater flexibility and confidence. I also intentionally help clients notice and celebrate their progress along the way. Growth isn’t always loud or linear, and honoring even small shifts can be deeply empowering. Many clients share that our work feels both supportive and encouraging, helping them build clarity, self-trust, and resilience over time.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m especially well-suited to work with people who are tired of holding it all together and are longing for a space where they can finally exhale. Many of my clients feel anxious, burned out, self-critical, or disconnected after years of pushing through, caring for others, or placing high expectations on themselves. They often come to therapy seeking relief, steadiness, and support as they navigate relationships, identity, and life transitions. I work best with clients who value honesty, curiosity, and personal growth, even if those qualities feel hard to access right now. Our work together focuses on gently understanding what’s contributing to stress and anxiety, strengthening emotional awareness, and building practical, compassionate tools that support healing and lasting change. If you’re looking for a calm, supportive space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and build resilience at your own pace—without pressure or judgment—I would be honored to walk alongside you.
