I have been a practicing clinician for over 14 years and have worked with individuals from a diverse range of disorders including severe anxiety, severe depression (and other mood disorders such as bipolar disorder) , addiction, trauma, chronic health issues, and psychosis. I have received my Master's degree from University of Maryland, Baltimore and have my clinical social work license.
I hope to create a warm, welcoming, non-judgmental space where clients can feel safe and comfortable to gradually and eventually explore and work through any troubling thoughts and discomforting feelings so to "put them where they belong".
I believe I bring a sense of curiosity and empathy into my practice. I thoroughly believe my clients are the experts into themselves and I provide the guidance to help process unhelpful emotions and beliefs that interfere with growth and deeper awareness into their self.
I believe in a person-centered approach and I draw from an array of interventions and modalities. I mainly utilize a psychodynamic, attachment oriented focus but will encompass CBT, ACT, IFS, and polyvagal theory while ensuring client maintains autonomy over the therapeutic process
