Hi there! I'm Missy. Do you struggle with anxiety, depression or stress? Do you feel pulled in a million different directions? Is it hard to find time for self-compassion and self-care I help women overcome the burdens of anxiety, depression and stress that can come from wearing too many hats. I also help individuals recovering from church hurt or spiritual abuse. Together, we will map out how to move away from what is not working for you any longer and move towards new habits and behaviors that will lead to less anxiety and allow you to develop a stronger relationship with yourself and others. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, overwhelm, depression, trauma or stress, you deserve and need a safe space to heal and move into a better, more values aligned life. I'll meet you with compassion and grace using evidence based practices so you can overcome whatever has you feeling stuck. Let's work together!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start with introductions and then dive into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a personalized plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength as a therapist is helping individuals overcome anxiety, depression and stress. I help individuals explore their beliefs and values. Many times I find that individuals are not living a values aligned life and this can cause alot of internal anxiety. I am also a trained trauma therapist. Trauma impacts our brain in many ways. Working towards healing traumatic experiences can also relieve anxiety, depression and stress.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help individuals understand how thoughts, feelings and behaviors are connected. Then we explore how to replace thoughts and behaviors that are not helpful.

Christian Counseling

If you are a Christian and want to weave your faith into treatment, I am all about it. Faith and belief in a higher power can improve outcomes. I am also very careful that you are met with grace and no shame. If you are coming from a space of church hurt, I've been there and would love to help.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

The client comes first. As a therapist, I want my clients to know therapy is for them and they are in the driver's seat.
