Hi, I’m Christine! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who enjoys helping children, teens, and adults navigate life’s challenges in a supportive, non-judgmental space. I have experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, family conflict, and life transitions, and I focus on building practical coping skills and stronger relationships. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, and I work at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to help you feel heard, empowered, and confident in your growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a calm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where we get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’d like help with, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll explain how therapy works and answer any questions you may have. By the end of the session, we’ll begin identifying goals and next steps, all at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out most about my therapeutic approach is my ability to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I believe strong therapeutic relationships are the foundation for meaningful change, so I work to build trust while also helping clients develop practical coping skills they can use outside of sessions. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s individual needs. I use evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, psychoeducation, and trauma-informed therapy to help clients work through anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I aim to help clients not only feel understood, but also feel empowered to grow, heal, and move forward with confidence.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals who are ready to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes, even if they’re not sure where to start. I work well with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and challenges with emotional regulation or stress. Many of the clients I support feel overwhelmed, stuck in negative patterns, or unsure how to cope with what they’re going through. I’m especially well-positioned to support individuals who are open to learning new skills, gaining insight, and actively working toward their goals in a supportive, nonjudgmental space. Whether someone is new to therapy or returning after time away, I meet clients where they are and help them build confidence, resilience, and a stronger sense of control in their daily lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Many times, we get stuck in patterns of negative thinking that can increase anxiety, depression, or stress. In sessions, I work collaboratively with clients to identify those patterns and gently challenge them, while also building practical coping skills they can use in everyday life. My approach to CBT is supportive and flexible—I meet clients where they are and move at a pace that feels comfortable. I often incorporate real-life examples, skill-building exercises, and between-session strategies to help clients feel more in control and confident in managing challenges. Whether someone is dealing with anxiety, mood concerns, or life transitions, CBT allows us to create meaningful, lasting changes in a way that feels realistic and empowering.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use a trauma-informed approach to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients who have experienced trauma, helping them feel safe, understood, and in control of their healing process. My experience includes working with individuals in crisis settings, hospital-based care, and community mental health, where I’ve supported clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and significant life stressors. In my practice, I focus on creating a safe and trusting environment first, recognizing how trauma can impact thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I use CBT techniques to help clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, while also incorporating grounding strategies, emotional regulation skills, and gradual exposure when appropriate. I move at the client’s pace, ensuring they feel empowered rather than overwhelmed. I also integrate psychoeducation to help clients understand their responses to trauma and normalize their experiences. My goal is to help clients build coping skills, regain a sense of control, and feel more confident in managing their emotions and daily life, all while honoring their individual experiences and strengths.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients better understand and manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and build healthier coping strategies. My experience includes working with individuals who struggle with mood instability, impulsivity, trauma-related responses, and high stress, particularly in crisis and community-based settings. In my practice, I focus on teaching practical DBT skills such as mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. I help clients apply these skills to real-life situations so they feel more in control and less overwhelmed. My approach is supportive and nonjudgmental—I meet clients where they are, validate their experiences, and work collaboratively to build skills that create lasting change.

Psychoeducation

I regularly use psychoeducation as part of my approach to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My experience includes working in crisis, hospital, and community-based settings, where I’ve supported clients in learning about topics such as anxiety, depression, trauma responses, and substance use. In my practice, I break down concepts in a way that feels relatable and easy to understand, helping clients make sense of what they’re experiencing and why. I also connect this knowledge to practical tools and coping strategies they can use in daily life. My goal is to empower clients with insight and understanding so they feel more in control, confident, and supported throughout their healing process.
