Hello, I’m Liz Correll, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I offer compassionate, personalized online therapy for individuals seeking support towards healing. My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from a range of evidence-based methods tailored to meet your unique needs. I believe that healing isn't one-size-fits-all, and I take the time to understand your story, your strengths, and your goals. Most importantly, I walk beside you on your journey, offering support, insight, and a steady presence as you navigate the path toward greater self-awareness, resilience, and well-being. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll take time to get to know each other and talk about what’s bringing you to therapy. You can share what’s been feeling overwhelming, confusing, or just hard to carry on your own. I’ll also ask some questions about your background and life experiences so I can get a fuller picture of who you are and how I can best support you. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—we’ll go at your pace. The goal is to begin building a safe, supportive space that’s tailored to your needs and focused on what matters most to you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is the deep empathy and genuine care I bring into each session. Clients often share that they feel truly seen, understood, and supported in our work together. I walk beside you, holding space with compassion as you navigate life’s challenges at your own pace. My approach isn’t about telling you who to be—it’s about helping you reconnect with your own wisdom, build emotional resilience, and create meaningful change that aligns with who you truly are.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with adults facing a wide range of challenges who are seeking support in their path toward healing and growth. I offer a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space where we can explore your experiences at a pace that feels supportive and empowering. In our work together, I prioritize emotional safety, mutual respect, and a nonjudgmental atmosphere so you can show up as your full self and feel truly seen and understood.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you identify how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. In our work together, we’ll explore patterns that may be contributing to your distress and practice tools to help shift them. This approach is useful for managing anger by recognizing triggers and challenging reactive beliefs, easing depression by addressing self-critical thoughts, reducing anxiety through new ways of thinking about fear and worry, and supporting trauma recovery by identifying and reframing distressing thought patterns.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-Based Therapy helps you learn how to stay present with your emotions instead of being overwhelmed by them. It offers tools for grounding and body awareness that support emotional regulation. This approach helps manage anger by calming intensity, supports depression by reconnecting you with moments of peace, reduces anxiety by anchoring you in the present, and supports trauma healing by creating safety in the body.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-Centered Therapy offers a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and identity with support and compassion. This relationship-based approach helps you feel seen and understood, which lays the groundwork for deeper healing by creating a space that allows for authentic self-discovery and growth.

Psychoanalytic

Psychoanalytic Therapy focuses on uncovering unconscious patterns, early life experiences, and unresolved emotional conflicts that may still be influencing your thoughts, behaviors, and relationships today. In our work together, we’ll explore how past dynamics—especially those from childhood—show up in your current life in ways you might not be fully aware of. Through increased insight and self-awareness, psychoanalytic work fosters lasting emotional growth and transformation.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a great fit if you're feeling overwhelmed by your emotions or struggling to stay grounded during stressful moments. This approach combines mindfulness with practical tools to help you regulate emotions, manage distress, and communicate more effectively. It is especially helpful for staying grounded when emotions run high, navigating emotional pain without shutting down, calming racing thoughts, staying present, and feeling emotions safely while setting healthy boundaries. DBT offers concrete skills and compassionate support to help you better understand and manage your inner world.
